About Sarah

Sarah Longson has been practicing law since 1985, and joined the firm as a shareholder in 2005. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Longson was a partner in a downtown law firm where she practiced for over 18 years. Her practice focuses on general business and corporate law, as well as creditors' rights and bankruptcy law. Ms. Longson is a proud alumna of Lehigh University (B.S., B.A. with honors, 1982) and a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law (J.D. 1985). Sarah E. Longson

Ms. Longson represents and counsels clients in all areas of business law, including formation of business entities, sales and purchases of businesses, negotiation of business transactions and documents, such as leases, loan transactions and employment contracts. Ms. Longson's clients include large lending institutions, medical practices, small and large local businesses, and individuals. Ms. Longson also represents businesses and individuals in matters involving creditors' rights, workouts and bankruptcy.

Ms. Longson is a former member of the panel of Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Trustee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland, and has extensive experience in bankruptcy law. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Bankruptcy Bar Association of Maryland since 1999, and is its current president-elect. Ms. Longson is also a member of the Business Law Section Council for the Maryland State Bar Association> and chairs the creditors' rights and insolvency subcommittee. Ms. Longson speaks regularly on creditors rights, bankruptcy and other matters and is a frequent faculty member for seminars conducted by the Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers, Inc.

Ms. Longson is a current member of the Board of Trustees for The First Tee - Baltimore, and a former board member and officer of the Ruxton Country School Board of Trustees.

Ms. Longson resides in Baltimore City with her family, and is an avid and devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox.
